Present-day Saint Margaret Chapel – the first church of Almádi – was built of public subscription on the right-hand-side bank of Remete Brook behind the stone cross erected at the crossroads in 1869 and consecrated in veneration for the Mission of the Twelve Apostles. The altarpiece, depicting the event was painted by Imre Blázy, the arts teacher of the state civil school of Veszprém in 1890. The plot was donated by Rudolf Kurcz and his wife. The chapel was built by Lőrinc Brenner and József Krisztián. It was a bit later, that the chapel was consecrated to the veneration of Saint Margaret of the Árpád dynasty. The altarpiece, portraying her was painted by Masa Feszty. The chapel was restored to its original condition in 2006.
