Sailing
If you happened to sit in a sailboat, then you know ... but if you have not experienced this sport yet, then it is all the more worth hiring a boat for an hour at least. There are sailboats for three persons and 14 and 16 feet long catamarans for hire in Wesselényi Lido, whereas the landing place smaller and larger boats can be hired. Hotel Nereus and Yacht Camping Site offer sailboats for hire besides water sports vehicles even without a captain in case you have an appropriate sailing boat licence.
Angling
Lovers of angling can hire a boat at the anglers’ camp of the Balatonalmádi Sport Anglers Club and can be ready to start fishing for the catch of the century. Tickets, season tickets and fishing tackles can be bought in the Tulipán Court and in the anglers‘ shop behind the MOL petrol station.
Bream, silver bream and pike are in abundant supply in the lake, but giant pike-perch fishing in the autumn period also promises a rich catch. Both enthusiastic anglers and families with children are wholeheartedly recommended to visit the angling exhibition open all the year round in the Water Museum downstairs the Cultural Centre.

Tennis
Balls had already been bounced about in two courts back in 1896, and due to lawn tennis Balatonalmádi could become the sports centre of Lake Balaton by 1933. Several national and international tournaments were organized here generally highlighted by the participation of the full Hungarian tennis elite. There are six clay courts available for the enthusiasts of the white sport.

Cycling
Our settlement is the capital of cycling round Lake Balaton, so it is not by chance, that we have deserved the erection of the Zero kilometre stone in 2007 as the starting point of Lake Balaton Cycle Path. On the basis of our various tour offers of changing difficulty levels everybody can find his or her most convenient choice.

Riding
Each rider is guaranteed an unforgettable adventure while enjoying the perfect beauty of Mill Valley [Malomvölgy], Bucket Valley [Vödörvölgy] and the Balaton Uplands on horseback similarly either to that of a Star Tour or choosing from among shorter-longer excursion offers. Less experienced people can take a prairie-bus [pusztabusz] or a landau to cover a certain distance with the cooperation of the Vörösberény Riding Association. There are horse cavalcades in June, riding and cycling orienteering competitions in September organized by the association for holidaymakers.
